life gifts us different kinds of lessons. A lesson that amazes us in most stunning ways and a lesson that helps us and guides us to become a better person. It is essential to give importance to the learnings we gained from ourselves and to others. It allows us to make things right and inspires us to choose what is right and good. Learning every day is a continues process from the mistakes we commit maybe intentionally or not and by realizing it and correcting it is a sign that you have learned your lesson.

I have learned the “philosophy of now” from what our teacher shared in our class and I realized that we should never let the day pass without accomplishing the things that should be done now instead of tomorrow because sometimes we might not always assure that there will be still next time, there will be second chance or a miracle if we do not grab the opportunity that its already in our hands because sometimes we usually regret after it. Thankfully, there is someone who reminds me and instilled the beauty of the power of now special thanks to our teacher Sir Casimero for inspiring and waking me up from the habit that I usually do.

The power of now is very applicable for everyone and it is a good reminder for me that I should give importance to every single moment of what I am capable to do instead of doing it some other day because sometimes I miss out the opportunity and that serves as a lesson for me.

There is a journey in one’s life some were not yet taken, it’s on the way or on going where it leads to happiness, success, failures, and disappointments. It depends how the person take it, learn, accept and appreciate every ride. It is how life offers many opportunities and challenges as well and everyone takes every step uniquely. Facing every challenge is a journey towards life. There are bumpy roads and storms along the way and it is normal but it is important to have the courage to overcome it no matter what happens, it is a kind of strength that pushes a person not to give up to all the pursuits in life. As part of every person’s journey obstacles is inevitable because the best journey in life doesn’t come at ease it was challenged so many times and the best thing to do is to keep going and being patient in each process.

I consider that entering college is a challenging journey for every student. I experienced running out of time answering the test items during the University admission test to be able to finish it on time, passed it, become qualified and officially enrolled in my chosen course which is a Bachelor of Arts major in English. The overall process wasn’t easy, yet, I was able to make it possible with the help and support of my greatest inspiration in life which is my family. The moment I stepped in Aklan State University Banga campus I have reminded my self that I’m going to spend my next four years studying, dealing with challenges and meeting different people and learn many things. I felt I am starting a new life in my new environment where I should prepare my self for big opportunities and wonderful journey along my way and I know for sure it will not be easy but with strong dedication, hard work and patience I can make it through. I can see that college life is different from high school, it is more challenging in every student’s lives but it could be manageable too. There is more freedom but there is a big responsibility at the same time. In my part, it’s a challenge for me that I’m away from family and closest friends which I’m not get used in this way. It is my first time to live on my own, being an independent person after so many years of living in the same roof with my parents guiding me every day and helping me in everything I do to ease my problems and hardships. This is a struggle for me but I have to handle it wholeheartedly since my chosen course is here and luckily they supported me all the way. I have now a boarding house near in school which I’m living with my schoolmates. The things that my parents usually did in our home such as cooking, preparing my things and everything else is I am already doing it for my self. There were times I am missing my mother’s annoying alarm every 5 o’clock in the morning and her sweet reminder every day. Also, my niece smile and laughter that serves as my stress reliever when I’m feeling down. Thinking these things saddened me that I am away and I may not always see and talk to them every single day where we only get to bond during the weekend and if there is a holiday. During my first sleep in my boarding house, I cried silently and overthink things that how am I supposed to live without my family in my side but then I always put in my mind the courage that I can surpass it and I have dreams to achieve. I am doing this not only for my self but for them also, it is my kind of motivation to do all my best in everything I do and poured my heart into it. For me, college journey is going to be tough yet I can say too that it’s going to be good because it will serve as my training ground in facing life’s greatest challenges and surprises. Furthermore, it will lead me to be well equipped with the knowledge, become a professional and productive individual in any avenues. Thankfully, this school is free tuition but offers a high-quality education which helps a lot to my family to ease their worries about my expenses and to be able to send me in University to fulfill my dreams. It’s a privilege for me that I am now a student at this school. I have dreamed, prayed and made it possible. This is a long way process where my college journey is about to start. On my first day of being a college student, I got to know the real purpose of taking up Bachelor of Arts major in English as my chosen course and what I could be in the future particularly my possible job after I graduate, its advantages or edge. It inspires me because I want to be a better English Teacher someday and I always believe that this program can help a lot to develop my skills, passion, and interest that excites me to learn more about it and strive well.

Although I find it challenging yet this will not stop me to soar high to the quality of education that I deserve, the knowledge I can get, the amount of things I will learn is what matters the most to me. I know it will be worthy in my everyday life and to my career someday. Therefore, life is a journey there will be difficult roads but if you continue to keep going and give your heart into it, it will take you to a beautiful destination.
